The Arctic is warming faster than any other area on the planet and is failing to strategize modes of meaningful change. If we seek a vision of polar health that is beyond narratives of damage control, where the wider public are engaged with its future, they must be a part of it. As such, we require a radical rethinking of the purpose of its connected civic institutions, the dialogues had, and the type of research that is currently underway.
Working towards issues of Arctic policy and cultural enrichment via innovative technologies, the project invites artists, scientists, and technologists to pursue interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary processes across a diverse range of specialities and interests. It was inspired by the work created at CERN, Face-Lab and MIT Media Lab, sculpting new possibilities in creative technologies.
